An Octane For Maya Enterprise DCC license bundle without All-Access. The "C4D plugin only" license is more if you bought say. You can, but it still needs a standalone license anyway. So you dont need to worry about it, as long as when you pick your license you pick the "Octane Render for Cinema4D" version. While this is true, almost all of the available licenses come as combos with a standalone license and a single host plugin (again, in our case C4D) license. Keep in mind that you have to subscribe or buy standalone as well as the C4D But its still semi-online, the Dongle needs to be verified against Otoy servers every 4 months using an installer utility.
OCTANE RENDER LICENCE OFFLINE
You can convert an Enterprise License to an Offline USB Dongle License. That's not really a limitation between the Enterprise Licenses and the Subscription Licenses. **ALL** Octane licenses kinda sorta require an internet connection, and as such you can only use it one machine at a time. You need to have an internet connection and you are limited to only one machine at a time. So just to clarify some of these points you said: Those are the Octane Licenses and what you get with each one. they vary in price depending on the host application plugin. but do want one particular host application plugin, you can buy them unbundled and individually. If you already own an Enterprise DCC License and dont want to pay for the additional "All Access". I'm not sure what the plan is for v2018 and v2019 and beyond. You get a perpetual license to a V4 Standalone, which acts as a Render slave. Just like the Redshift or XP or C4D Maintenance. to keep the benefits after that first year, you pay an additional $240 per year. If you want the "newest version" of Octane, you will need All Access on Enterprise Licenses moving forward.)Īs I said before - 1 yr of 'All Access' benefits come included with this combo. Access to Updates (so v2018 which is the "current" version of octane and 2019 experimental builds which include RTX acceleration and stuff like that. Octane Render Cloud Subscription (For cloud rendering on Otoy's cloud system for an additional fee) A Render Slave License (Deadline Compatible) Access to additional plugins for other host applications supported by octane the "All Access" gives you additional benefits for 12 months which include: You get a perpetual copy to Octane V4 Standalone and one host application plugin. It includes all the same stuff as the previous License. This License can be upgraded to the following license for an additional Price of $240/Yr (Currently on Sale $199/Yr)Įnterprise DCC + All Access. It allows for somthing like 20 GPUs in a single machine and network rendering. It comes with an Octane Standalone License and One host application plugin. You pay for it once, and the version you get is Version 4. I'm currently using 3 GPUs on my subscription license on v4.04.

and I believe you can also network render with other subscription licenses. That being said, if you use the v4 version, current is v4.04-R2, you can use more than 2 GPUs. You also can't/wont be able to use RTX acceleration when that exits beta. On the current version of Octane (v2018) - you cant use more than 2 GPUs and you can't network render.

Make sure when you're purchasing your subscription you select "Octane Render Studio for Cinema 4D", so you get the version of Octane for C4D. This comes with Octane Standalone and A plugin for one host application. Within the Enterprise License there are 4 Sub category of Licenses. I'll try to explain every one of these licenses And all the information is available on the Octane website. Lemme clear some stuff up here for both you and /u/Lunatic_GigaByte.
